What are Foam Shapes?
Foam is an integral part of an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). Special foam shapes are manufactured
from extruded polystyrene and are used to decorate the exterior of an EIFS cladding system before the coatings are
applied. Some typical foam shapes include trims, headers, window and door sills, cornice, columns, quoins, keystones,
and signage. They can be cut to any length under 8 feet; however, 4 and 8 foot lengths are typical.
What are Foam Shapes?
Some companies have a flat "board foot" price. This works to your advantage on very small orders. FoamTech quotes
every order based on quantity and shape size. This means you will receive a much better price on larger orders.
What's offered?
FoamTech offers over a hundred standard foam shapes, all cut from 0.95 lbs/ per cubic foot virgin expanded
polystyrene. All FoamTech shapes meet or exceed the most stringent foam specifications including Dryvit.
Most clients fax us a detail of the needed shape. We will then redraw and dimension the proposed shape and
fax back with the quote. A typical request for quote takes only a few hours to a day.
If you agree with the quote, you then sign it and fax back. That starts your order. Most orders only take a
few days. Some orders are delivered the next day. Expedition services are offered at an additional charge.
How do I get a quote?
Fax us your request with a drawing or sketch (please dimension critical lengths). Include the following data
for each order:
- Linear feet of each shape (divisible by either 4 or 8),
- Shipping destination area code,
- Date needed,
- Desired length: either 4 feet or 8 feet
Whats the ETA?
Time is money! Most clients want their shapes yesterday. At FoamTech, we do our best to exceed your
expectations; so, we'll turn your shapes around as fast as possible. But remember, time is money.
If you need it yesterday, a 25% expedition fee will apply. Normal ETA is only three days. Many projects
are shipped in less time.
